Richard M. Crist

Richard M. Crist, I, age 78, a lifelong resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri.

Richard was born the son of Lamont and Grace (Slater) Crist on September 12, 1941, in Polo, Missouri. He was a 1958 graduate of Braymer High School. He served in the United States Army. Richard was united in marriage to Bonnie Ann McDonald on May 1, 1971, in Milan, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a self-employed farmer all of his life. At a young age, Richard attended the Braymer Church of Christ, Braymer, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Crist of the home; one son, Brice Crist of Cowgill, Missouri; one daughter, Ruby Crist of Braymer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rihannon Crist, Joseph H. Leamer, Alyssa Leamer, and Kayla Crist; and one sister, Cynthia Sue Riegel of Holt, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richie Crist; and one grandson, Aaron Blake Leamer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Chillicothe Shrine Club for crippled children and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
