Lawson, MO: Russell D. Booth, 68, Lawson, MO passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022
at his home.
He was born February 8, 1954 in King City, Missouri the son of William Herbert and Sally
Frances (Walters) Booth.
Russell was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. He served in
the United States Marines. Russell was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Moose
Lodge both of Independence, MO. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool in his spare
time.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Anthony Perniciaro.
Survivors include his mother, Sally Bashor, Lawson, MO; daughters, Heather (Tonya) Booth,
Kansas City, MO and Abby Booth, Lathrop, MO; longtime companion, Lona Gowing of the
home; 2 grandchildren, Caden and Mikayla Carlisle; step-sons, Sean Gowing and Dillon Reeves
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4 at Roberson Funeral Home,
King City, MO. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Ford City Cemetery, Ford City, MO. The
family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials
may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Humane Society of Kansas City, MO in
