Sara S. Miller

Sara S. Miller, 93, Jamesport, MO passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home.

She was born January 24, 1929 in Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Sam S. and Lydia M. (Schrock) Schrock.

Sara was united in matrimony to Floyd Miller on March 2, 1950 in Haven, Kansas where they made their home.  They moved to Jamesport, MO in 1979.  They lived in matrimony for 70 years, 9 months and 21 days until Floyd preceded her in death on December 23, 2020.

Sara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eli; sisters, Mary and Alma; grandson, Steven Jay Miller; great-grandson, Jayden Matthew Hostetler and four stillborn great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Esther Miller.

Sara leaves to mourn her 3 sons and 1 daughter and their families, Howard (Edna) Miller, Millersburg, IN, Arlene (Glen) Fry, Jamesport, MO, Freeman (Miriam) Miller, Windsor, MO and Carl Miller, Jamesport; 27 grandchildren; 123 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, and 1 brother, Anna Mae Knepp, Chouteau, OK, Wilma (Atlee) Keim Haven, KS and Leroy (Sara Ellen) Schrock, Clarita, OK and sister-in-law, Wilma Schrock, Frankfort, KS.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Countryview Community Building, Jamesport, MO.  Burial will follow in the Meadowview Cemetery, Jamesport, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Jamesport, MO.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Carl Miller residence, 30306 St. Hwy NN, Jamesport, MO.
