Sharon (Francis) Noble
Sharon (Francis) Noble, of Stanberry, Missouri and a former resident of Albany, passed away September 10, 2023 at age 87 years and 6 months. Sharon was born March 24, 1936 in Whitton Switch, the middle child of James L. and Crystal P. (Weese) Francis.
Sharon grew up helping her parents work on the farm at Whitton switch south of Albany. They always had a big garden and raised a lot of chickens. She said they always butchered 200 a year because they could not afford to butcher a calf that was worth more, so they ate chicken all winter.
She graduated from Albany High school in 1954, living her whole life in Albany except the last four years when she moved to Pineview Manor in Stanberry.
Sharon married Donald Rex Noble. To this union one son, Donald Robert Noble was born. They later divorced.
Sharon was very active in the Albany Baptist Church. She worked for heat gas for ten years and then went to work for Hensley Chevrolet for thirty years. Pettijohn Auto bought Kenny Hensley out in 2000 Sharon was part of the deal. She worked another thirteen years, retiring at age 78. Sharon also had a part time job working at Roberson-Polley Chapel for Bryan and Linda Polley for 13 years, which she dearly loved.
Sharon was always friends with her childhood neighbors Dick Hardin and his family. You could always get Whitton Switch stories at the Chevrolet garage if you stopped in when Sharon and Dick were there drinking coffee.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Violet Noble and her brother, Gary Francis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Bonnie Noble, Albany, MO; one grandson, Nathan and Alisha Noble; four great grandchildren, Kylie, Kamrie, Kinley and Kennady Noble, all of Albany; Meagan Chapman and family; nieces, Susan Holt and Sheri Jean Nible, both of Richmond, MO.
