Virginia “Ginny” Frances (Murray) Cox, age 86, Gallatin, Mo., passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2021.  Virginia was born May 3, 1935, in Polo, Mo to Samuel Forrest Murray and Ethel L. (Smith) Murray.  Virginia worked at Stride Rite Shoe Factory for 47 years until it closed in May of 2000.  On October 16, 1954, Virginia married Henry C. Cox, they were married for 16 years and made their home in Gallatin.

Survivor of the home for 63 years, is her companion Henry; also surviving are her children, daughter, Debbie (John) Kramer of Jamesport; daughter, Sally (Johnnie) Black of Gallatin; son, Henry Lee Cox of Jamesport; nine grandchildren, Joshua VerHagen of Jamesport,  A.J. (Melissa) Kramer of Arcadia, FL; David (Samantha) Kramer of Jamesport; Virginia (Brandon) Noffsinger of Jamesport; Kelsea (Trevor) Unruh of Arcadia, FL; Mary (Justin) Ensz of Jamesport; Anna (Jacy) Penner of Arcadia, FL; Kevin (Becca) Black of Gallatin and Katy (Mark) Gaines of Weston, MO.  Virginia is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, Keelie VerHagen, Jax Kramer, Tessa Kramer, Zane Kramer, Eugene Kramer, Evelynn Kramer, Ceder Unruh, Alathea Unruh, Bentley Noffsinger, Oliver Noffsinger and Austin Gaines. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest & Ethel; a daughter, Virginia Marie and a great-grandson, Barron John Noffsinger; and her sibling’s, Mary Alice Cecil; Gladys Marie Williams; James Robert Murray; Zella Nevadia Richardson; Mason Alva Murray; Jesse Lee Murray; Junior Albert Murray; Ruby Lucille Hall; Harold Ray Murray; Leonard Lavern Murray; and Frank DeLoyd Murray. Virginia will be sadly missed by her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton. Private family graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.
