William McKay “Bill” Pollard

William McKay “Bill” Pollard, 97, Spickard, MO passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, MO.

He was born on April 13, 1923 in Princeton, Missouri the son of Fred Alfred and Chlora (McKay) Pollard.

On August 25, 1940, he married Mary Susan Hopper in Trenton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Bill was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1941. He went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He created a library in the Veterans Home and taught children about the Holocaust. He was a member of the Princeton VFW Post #7159 and attended the Princeton Methodist Church.

Bill is survived by two sons; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Bill has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO.
