William Patrick “Pat” Dobbins
William Patrick “Pat” Dobbins, 68, of Pickering, MO passed away on November 5, 2023, at his home near Pickering with his family at his side.
Pat was born July 30, 1955, in Kansas City, MO. His parents were George Elliot and Essie Lena (Melton) Dobbins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter Kylie Dobbins; father and mother in laws Robert Vernon and Willa Lamorah Boaz.
After high school and some college, Pat joined the United States Navy. He served as a corpsman for the Navy and Marine Corp. He retired from the military on January 1, 1996, after 23 years of service. He also worked at the Maryville Kawasaki Plant for 13 years as a safety officer.
On July 13, 1974, in Kansas City, MO, he married Karen Louise Boaz. They were married 49 years. Karen survives of the home.
Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maryville.
Other memberships included American Legion Post 464, of Conception Junction, the Masonic Lodge in Rockport, MO, and the Order of Eastern Star in both Maryville and Bethany, MO.
Pat’s hobbies included working on small engines, gardening, and woodworking.
His survivors include his wife Karen, son Jason Patrick (Shaundi) Dobbins of Maryville, daughter Dee Rene Dobbins, of Pickering, MO four grandchildren Anya Haney, Daytona Lutz, Jadon (Andrew Rich) Dobbins and Jerimiah Dobbins, one great grandchild Kyle Patrick Haney. One brother George Elliot “JR” (Alice) Dobbins of Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Dobbins has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville.
Memorial services with Military Honors will be conducted November 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, 121 East Jenkins Street, Maryville, MO. The service time will be 11:00 AM. An inurnment will be conducted at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Riverside, MO at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed in Pat’s name to Chapter 23 of the order of Eastern Star in Bethany, MO.
