Pet Of The Week – Sweetie
We’d like to introduce you to Sweetie! Sweetie is a 2-year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who came to the shelter in May. She is a beautiful medium-sized girl with a gorgeous tricolor coat of brown, black and white.
Sweetie’s superpower is giving hugs. She loves people and wants to be near them, and when staff or volunteers enter Sweetie’s kennel she is quick to stand up and offer hugs and affection. She is full of energy and loves going on walks. Because Sweetie has lots of energy and jumps up to give hugs and play, she would probably do best in a home without small children who might be overwhelmed by her affectionate enthusiasm.
If Sweetie could describe her perfect home, she would ask for an active home where she could go on long walks and expend that cattle dog energy while exploring with her forever family. Sweetie can get a little excited with other dogs, so she would request a meet and greet with any other dogs in her potential family before she went home. Most of all, Sweetie would like a home filled with affection where she could give and receive hugs and spend lots of time with her forever humans.
Sweetie has been spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and is up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. She would so love to be out of the shelter and in a home of her own – could that home be yours?
