Meet Cleo! Our Pet of the Week!

Today’s Pet of the Week is brought to you by Green Hill Animal Shelter in Trenton and is sponsored by the Lamoni Veterinary Clinic.

Please meet Cleo! Cleo is a beautiful orange Tabby who is only about 1 year old. With her sweet face and traditional Tabby markings, Cleo is quite a beautiful cat, but she is also unique! You see, 80% of all orange Tabbies are male, so female orange tabbies like Cleo are considered to be a bit of a rarity.

Cleo came to Green Hills Animal Shelter back in February after being found wandering all alone in the cold winter weather. She was undoubtedly relieved to be safe and warm and no longer have to hunt for food and water, but she was also a bit nervous about her new surroundings. Despite her nervousness however, Cleo quickly showed us her sweet and loveable personality.

Cleo is a well-rounded girl who enjoys attention and being petted, but who is also content to spend time being independent. She enjoys the bonding and interaction of play, but Cleo can also happily entertain herself. She is loving, independent, playful, smart and quiet all wrapped up together in beautiful orange fur, and this gorgeous girlie also gets along well with other cats.

If Cleo could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would ask for an indoor-only home with a family who will give her lots of love and who will be patient while she adjusts to her new home. She would love to be able to play with a toy mouse or crinkle ball until she has worn herself out, and then curl up in her Forever Human’s lap for a nap. Cleo gets along well with other cats and would be quite content to share her Home with a kitty sibling or two, and she would also be perfectly happy in a home with children.

Cleo will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, FIV/FeLV tested, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies.  She has everything she needs except for a Forever Home of her own.  Could you make her wish of a Forever Home come true?
