Meet Axle! Our Pet of the Week!

Our Pet of the Week is brought to you by Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton and is sponsored by Princeton Physical Therapy and Tolsen Grain.

Please meet Axle! Axle is an approximately 2 year old Boxer mix who was found wandering the streets by Animal Control and brought to Green Hills Animal Shelter  in hopes that he would be found by, and reunited with, his family. But sadly no one ever claim to claim Axle, so now this sweet pup is searching for a new family to call his very own.

Axle is a handsome boy who is super sweet and friendly. He is very affectionate and pretty much instantly loves everyone he meets. Axle is also very smart and curious. He already knows how to sit, and with his intelligence and desire to please, he would be undoubtedly do well learning other obedience commands, and perhaps some fun tricks also.

If Axle could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for an indoor home with a family who would spend lots of time with him. He would enjoy a large, securely fenced yard to run and play in, and of course he would love to have a soft bed and some toys of his very own. Because Axle is a big boy and still learning to resist the temptation to jump up when he plays, he would do best in a home without very small children so that he doesn’t accidentally bowl them over with love, and he would also respectfully ask to be the only dog in his Forever Home.

Axle will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is overflowing with love to share with a family of his own; could that family be yours?

For more information on Axle, or any of the pets waiting for their homes at Green Hills Animal Shelter, please phone the shelter at 660-359-2700 or stop by during open business hours. Axle and his fur-riends will be waiting to meet you, and perhaps you’ll go home with a new best friend!
