Meet Charity! This week’s Pet of the Week, brought to you by the Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton and sponsored by Princeton Physical Therapy and Tolson Grain.
We’d like to introduce you to Charity! Charity is a beautiful, young tabby cat who is only about one year old. Charity came to Green Hills Animal Shelter on April 12th after she was found wandering the streets all alone; and upon arriving Charity immediately stole the hearts of shelter staff and volunteers with her unique markings and her sweet personality.
Sweet Charity is one of the loveliest little cats you could ever hope to meet! With her beautiful markings in shades of grays, browns and white and the signature tabby “M” on her forehead, she is strikingly pretty, and her personality is just as pretty as her markings. Charity is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly. She is extremely sweet and loves getting pets and cuddles. She also gets along very well with other cats and has become special friends with a Tuxedo kitten at the shelter named Sunny.
When you meet Charity you will probably notice that she limps just a bit. This is because prior to arriving at the shelter Charity was involved in some sort of accident that broke one of her back legs. Because the leg healed before she was found and could receive medical treatment, it is now facing inward a bit, which causes her to limp. But does that stop her? Heck, no! Charity runs jumps and plays more than many of our most able bodied cats! She has no idea that she is any different from her other feline friends and her leg doesn’t slow her down one bit.
If Charity could describe her perfect Forever Home she would request an indoor only home where she would receive lots of love, cuddles and play time. She would love to have a cat tree of her own where she could stretch out in the sunbeams and watch the birds from inside a window. She would absolutely love to be adopted with her special friend Sunny, but because Charity is a social butterfly and makes kitty friends easily, she would also be very happy in a home that already has a resident kitty or two. Charity would do well in a home with children and as she doesn’t seem to mind the dogs at the shelter at all, she would probably also tell us that a canine friend in her Fur-Ever Home would be A-Okay, too.
Charity will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), and up to date on all her vaccinations, including rabies. She is the quintessential cat and can’t wait to share her love with a Fur-Ever Family of her own; could that family be yours?
