Meet Ike! Our Pet of the Week!

Today’s Pet of the Week is brought to you by the Green Hills Animal Shelter and is sponsored by Lamoni Veterinary Clinic.

We’d like to introduce you to Ike!  Ike is a playful bundle of happiness who was found wandering alone with his brother Mike and brought to Green Hills Animal Shelter by Animal Control to keep them safe and hopefully allow them to find their way home. Sadly, no one came to claim Mike and Ike, and now these two are looking for new homes and families to call their own.

Ike is a black Lab mix who is only about 6 months old. Like most labs, Ike is very friendly and, like most pups, he is very active. It’s hard to be around Ike without smiling because he is so full of happiness. He is affectionate, smart, curious and quite funny. Ike has already mastered walking well on a leash, and he would be a great pup to teach tricks such as playing fetch or Frisbee. Ike gets along well with other dogs and would also do well in a home with children.

If Ike could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask to be adopted by an active family who would spend lots of time with him. He would very much enjoy being an indoor pup with access to a securely fenced yard where he could go outside and run off his puppy energy safely. Ike would love to be someone’s special buddy and would no doubt enjoy being part of a home with a child that he could grow up with and be their loyal friend.

Ike will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is sure to fill his Forever Family’s life with joy; could that family be yours?

For more information on Ike, or any of the pets waiting for their homes at Green Hills Animal Shelter, please phone the shelter at 660-359-2700 or stop by during open business hours. Ike, his brother Mike, and all the other pets will be waiting to meet you and fill your life with love!
