Meet Missy! Our Pet of the Week!

Please meet Missy! Missy is a Dalmatian/Terrier mix who we believe to be about 2 years old. Missy was recently transferred to Green Hills Animal Shelter from a pound in a rural area and, while we don’t know how she came to be without a home, we do know this: sweet Missy very much needs and deserves a home and a family to love her.
When Missy first arrived at GHAS she was a little scared in her new environment; after all, it was filled with smells she didn’t recognize and people she didn’t know. However, as she has gotten to know the staff and volunteers at GHAS, she has settled in and allowed us to see what a wonderful dog she is. Missy, who is much smaller than she looks in her pictures, is a quiet girl who is very sweet and loving. She is very friendly, but sometimes a little nervous with men until she gets to know them a little bit.
If Missy could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would ask for a calm, quiet home with a family who would lovingly help her to settle in and come out of her shell. Because she can be nervous at first in new environments, she would prefer to be an indoor dog so that she can feel safe and secure with her new family. Missy would enjoy being a companion animal for someone who would love a quiet, loyal friend or she would also enjoy being part of a family who would shower her with love. Most of all, Missy just wants to be loved!
Missy will go to her Forever Home spayed, dewormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. She will be a wonderful companion to her new person or family; could you find a place in your heart for Missy?
