Meet Moose! Our Pet of the Week!

Today’s Pet of the Week is brought to us by Green Hills Animal Shelter and is sponsored by the Lamoni Veterinary Clinic.

Please meet Moose!  Moose is an approximately 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix who came to Green Hills Animal Shelter after being abandoned at the home of a very kind person who was unable to keep him, but who was so smitten with his sweetness that they brought him to the shelter so that he would be safe and cared for while we help him find a true Forever Home of his very own.

Moose is, as his name implies, a big boy. But don’t let his size worry you; Moose is a true gentleman. He is a friendly dog who is by nature affectionate, loyal and curious.  He is full of energy and loves to play, and Moose is also very intelligent. Moose gets along well with children, and he is also good with other dogs.

If Moose could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would tell us that the most important thing to him is simply to be loved and to be part of a family. He would enjoy being on a farm, but he be equally happy in any home situation where he had a securely fenced yard to run and play in and a kind family to love.  He would enjoy sharing his Forever Home with children, and he would also enjoy being in a home with a canine sibling or two.  Moose does, however, respectfully request that his new home be chicken-free, as he gets excited and wants to play with them.

Moose will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is a big boy with a heart of gold; could he share his love and loyalty with you?
