Meet Rome! Our Pet of the Week!

Please meet Rome! Rome is a tiny, adorable orange tabby kitten who is only 9 weeks old. Rome, along with his siblings, was born at Green Hills Animal Shelter after his mom was brought in as a stray. But, like his littermates, Rome hasn’t minded life at the shelter one little bit, and he has spent the first 9 weeks of his life stealing the hearts of shelter staff and volunteers.
Rome is a joyous kitten who is full of spunk and overflowing with fun. He is easily amused and entertained, and Rome can play for hours! Rome’s happiness is contagious, and everyone who meets him finds themselves with a smile on their face as well as in their heart. Rome loves other cats, and his very best buddy is his sister Juno who is just about the cuddliest kitten you could ever hope to meet.
If Rome could describe his purr-fect Forever Home, he would ask for an indoor only home (this sweet boy is much too small to go outdoors safely) with lots of toys and a family who would play with him until he is all worn out and then let him cuddle up for a long nap to recharge those “kitten batteries.” He would very much enjoy being in a home with another cat or kitten, and he would also do well in a home with children who would gently play and cuddle with him. And, with Rome’s sense of fun and adventure, we suspect that he would also be open to sharing his home with a canine sibling or two.
Rome will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, and up to date on all vaccinations. He has kept us smiling at the shelter, but he’s finally old enough to share those smiles with a family of his own; could that family be yours?
