If you are looking for a sweet pup that is sure to fill your life with happiness and smiles, then you might just be looking for Blaze! Blaze is an approximately 6-month-old Border Collie mix who is as cute as pie, and who has a personality that is every bit as sweet and endearing as his appearance.

Before coming to Green Hills Animal Shelter Blaze had a home of his own, but sadly his owners could no longer care for him, so they brought him to the shelter in hopes that he could find his perfect Forever Home.

Blaze is a friendly pup who loves people and gets along well with everyone he meets. He is very loyal and very loving, and this sweet boy wants to be near his people. Blaze, like most puppies, is full of happy energy. He loves to play, and especially enjoys toys and playing tug of war with his play ropes. Like his breed would suggest, Blaze is very intelligent! He has already learned “sit” and is currently working on “down”, and there is no doubt this smart boy will eagerly and easily master all kinds of commands and tricks.

If Blaze could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask to be an indoor pup with a family that will give him lots of attention and spends lots of time with him. He would love lots of toys and a warm, snuggly bed where he could curl up on cold winter days. Blaze would be a great family dog, and would very much enjoy being part of a home with children. And of course, this energetic boy would love to have a securely fenced yard where he could run and play and perhaps learn to play Frisbee and catch. Blaze gets along well with other dogs, and he would be happy to share his home with a canine companion that he could be buddies with.

Blaze will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies.
