Pet Of The Week – Borneo

Please meet Borneo! Borneo is a young adult boy who has been at the shelter for about a year and who we believe is an American Pit Bull Mix. And, while Borneo may look big and tough, he is truly a gentle giant.

Borneo is about as handsome as a dog can get, with a beautiful dark brindle coat and eyes that plead with you to love him. Shelter staff and volunteers adore him, and describe him as playful, sweet, friendly and outgoing. And even though Borneo has been at the shelter for a very long time, he is always happy.

Shelter volunteers have been working with Borneo, and he knows how to sit and shake.  He loves getting hugs and going on walks is one of his very favorite activities!

Because Borneo is very smart and very active, he needs a lot of activity to keep him from getting bored. In all the time he has been at the shelter Borneo he has never shown any aggressive tendencies, he is full of nothing but love!  His ideal home would be an active home where he would get to go on long walks and play with his humans every day.  He wouldn’t mind having another dog sibling, but because he is so active we would recommend that he meet them before adoption to make sure they are a good fit together.  He would also enjoy a human sibling, but simply because of his size and strength, we would recommend children in his home be 13 and older. Borneo would also love a securely fenced yard where he could play outside and expend his energy.

Borneo has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccinations, including rabies.  He has also been de-wormed and heartworm tested.  The only thing he is missing is a home of his own.  Could that home be yours?
