Pet Of The Week – Bruno
We’d like to introduce you to Bruno! Bruno is a handsome hound-mix who is only about 1 year old.
Bruno came to our shelter in December 2020 as a rescue. Prior to arriving at the shelter, Bruno was being cared for by a kind couple who took in and saved homeless dogs. Over time word spread of the couple’s kindness, and people began leaving dogs at their property. The number of dogs grew, but the couple’s hearts would not allow them to leave any dog uncared for and, although it was a struggle, each dog was well-fed and loved. Sadly, when tragedy struck and his wife passed away, the husband was left unable to care for a pack that had grown to over 50 dogs on his own, and a plea went out asking for assistance in finding rescues and homes.
Green Hills Animal Shelter was proud to be one of the shelters and rescues offering assistance, and Bruno was one of the dogs who came to our shelter.
Bruno is a sweet boy who has adjusted well to his new surroundings. He can be a bit shy when he first meets you, but once you spend a little time with him you will find a sweet boy who is filled with love that he so wants to share. Bruno has the kindest heart and is good with other dogs, and he would also be a good fit in a home with children or cats.
If Bruno could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for an easy-going environment with a family who would give him lots of love while he settles in and gets to know them. He would love to spend as much time as possible with his family and learn the joys of playing with toys and curling up in his own spot on the couch for a comfy nap. He would be happy to have a dog sibling or two, and he would also be very happy to share his home with children or feline friends.
Bruno will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies. He will be a wonderful addition to his Forever Home; could that home be yours?
