We’d like to introduce you to Cee-Cee! Cee-Cee is a very special kitty, who until just a few months ago had a home of her own and a person who loved her very much. Sadly, sometimes life throw us curves, and when Cee-Cee’s owner became unable to care for her, she made the heartbreaking decision to relinquish Cee-Cee to the shelter.
Cee-Cee is 8 years old and had been with her former owner her whole life, so suddenly being in the shelter without her person or anything that was familiar to her was very stressful. Sadly, some cats can become prone to high blood sugar during times of stress, and Cee-Cee developed diabetes. We are happy to report, however, that Cee-Cee is doing very well on her insulin, and her blood work shows that other than having diabetes, she is a healthy girl.
Cee-Cee is a quiet, affectionate kitty, and with her beautiful black and white coat and kind eyes that can look right into your soul, she is sure to steal your heart. You might notice from Cee-Cee’s picture that she is missing one of her ears, but don’t worry; she doesn’t mind and it doesn’t affect her one bit. Her ear was already missing when her previous owner found her 8 years ago as a tiny kitten, and we think her unique look just makes her more charming and lovable.
Cee-Cee would love a home where she could spend her time being loved and pampered, without too much stress. Because of her diabetes, Cee-Cee will have to be an indoor-only kitty, but she is quite happy with that. She is used to being indoors from her previous home, and she is very content to loll in sunbeams and chatter at the birdies from inside. She is litterbox trained and is one of the most fastidious kitties about using her litterbox that we’ve ever seen. She is also familiar with dogs, as she previously shared her home with a Jack Russell Terrier.
There is a very small chance that Cee-Cee’s diabetes could improve or resolve once she is settled into her new forever home, but most likely she will continue to require insulin for the remainder of her life, so she will need a home where she can have a routine and a set schedule for receiving her meds.
Cee-Cee has been spayed, de-wormed, FIV/FeLV tested, and is up to date on all her vaccinations, including rabies. She is a very special girl who truly deserves a very special home … could that home be yours?
