Pet Of The Week – Cleo

We’d like to introduce you to Cleo! Cleo is a beautiful orange Tabby kitten who is only about 8 months old. With her sweet face and traditional Tabby markings, Cleo is quite a pretty kitten, but she is also unique! You see, 80% of all orange Tabbies are male, so female orange tabbies like Cleo are considered to be a bit of a rarity.

Cleo came to Green Hills Animal Shelter on February 9th after being found wandering all alone in the cold winter weather. She was undoubtedly relieved to be safe and warm and no longer have to hunt for food and water, but she was also a bit nervous about her new surroundings. Despite her nervousness, however, Cleo quickly showed us her sweet and loveable personality. She is a well-rounded girl who enjoys attention and being petted, but who is also content to spend time being independent. She enjoys the bonding and interaction of play, but Cloe can also happily entertain herself.

When you first meet Cleo, you might notice that she has some patches of fur missing, but don’t be alarmed. Cleo has visited the vet, who determined that her fur loss is due to the stress that she feels at being in the shelter, so while we love this sweet girl very much, finding a Forever Home where she can relax and be herself is our most fervent wish for Cleo.

If Cleo could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would ask for an indoor-only home with a family who will give her lots of love and who will be patient while she adjusts to her new home. She would love to be able to play with a toy mouse or crinkle ball until she has worn herself out, and then curl up in her Forever Human’s lap for a nap. Cleo gets along well with other cats and would be quite content to share her Home with a kitty sibling or two, and she would also be perfectly happy in a home with children.

Cleo will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, FIV/FeLV tested, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies.  She has everything she needs except for a Forever Home of her own.  Could you make her wish of a Forever Home come true?
