Pet Of The Week – Corey

Please meet Corey! Corey is a young brown and white Boxer mix who we believe to be approximately 1-½ years old. Corey was picked up by Animal Control as a stray, so we don’t know much about his life before he came to the shelter, but we do know this; Cory is filled with love to share with a family of his own.

Cory is a big, strong boy whose size and strength belie his super sweet and calm nature. He is a very well-mannered pup who rarely barks, preferring instead to spend his kennel time keeping quiet watch over those who care for him. Cory is very friendly, affectionate, and loyal and likes being with people. He gets along well with adults and children, as well as with other dogs.

If Corey could describe his perfect Forever Home he would ask for an indoor home where he could spend his days keeping loving watch over his family. He would enjoy going on leashed walks with his family, as well as having a securely fenced yard to spend some outdoor time. Corey is very smart and would very much enjoy a home where he could learn new things such as obedience commands or playing fetch. Corey would be quite content in a home with children, and he would also be happy in a home with another dog, although as always we encourage you to bring any other dogs in the home to meet Corey prior to adoption so that you can ensure that they will be good friends.

Corey will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He’s a loyal friend who is just waiting to be loved; wouldn’t you love to make him part of your family?
