Pet Of The Week – Cory

We’d like to introduce you to Cory.  Cory is an approximately 1-year old, medium sized Collie mix who came to Green Hills Animal Shelter as a rescue at the beginning of October.

Prior to coming to GHAS, Cory had spent almost his whole life on a chain. Alone and lonely, it was a sad existence for a sweet dog who just wanted to be loved. Fortunately, a kind rescuer stepped in and arranged for Cory to come to the shelter.

When you first meet Cory, you’ll see a handsome boy with black and white fur, half-up half-down ears, and the cutest polka-dot belly. When you look closer however, you might notice that Cory is just a little different from other dogs.  You see, Cory only has one eye. This is due to an injury that required his other eye to be surgically removed. However, Cory isn’t bothered by this one little bit, and doesn’t  realize that he is any different from the other dogs at the shelter.

Cory is a sweet boy who has come a long way in the two short weeks he has been at the shelter. He is sometimes a little shy when he meets new people, but once he is comfortable,  he has a heart as big as Texas, and is absolutely full of love to give.  He is learning to walk on a leash, and is eager to please and learn.  Cory’s sweet nature and desire to please make him a good fit with other dogs, cats and children.

If Cory could describe his perfect home, he would ask for a loving, patient home where he could spend as much time as possible with his family. He would love a fenced yard to go out and play in, a warm doggy bed to snuggle in at night, and perhaps some toys of his own. But most of all, Cory would just like a home where he would be oh-so loved.

Cory will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all his vaccinations, including rabies.  He has waited his whole life to be rescued and loved – could you make his dreams come true?
