Pet Of The Week – Doogie

Please meet Doogie!  Doogie is a handsome yellow lab mix who is approximately 4 years old, and who has been at our shelter once before. You see, back in 2019 Doogie was adopted from GHAS, but through no fault of his own his owners recently had to rehome him, so in February 2021 they brought Doogie back to the shelter in hopes that he would find another loving home.

Doogie is a happy boy who loves kids, and whose irresistible Lab traits shine through in his sweet, eager-to-please personality. Doogie is trusting and kind and loves everyone he meets. He does well with other dogs, and in his prior stay at the shelter was a successful graduate of the Puppies for Parole Program where he learned basic obedience while charming his handlers.

If Doogie could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for a home where he could be the center of his family’s world. He would love to spend as much time inside with his family as possible and then head outside to a securely fenced yard to run, play catch, and – you guessed it – spend more time with his family. He would love to be a part of a family with children, and while he would be content to be an only-dog, he would also be perfectly happy to have a doggie sibling or two.

Doogie will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies.  He is absolutely full of love to give; could you give him the Forever he so deserves?
