Pet Of The Week – Emily

We’d like to introduce you to Emily!  Emily is a beautiful orange Tabby who would love nothing more than to find a Forever Home of her own.  Emily, who is only 1 year old, came to Green Hills Animal Shelter in August 2019. She was only about 4 weeks old when she arrived, so Emily has grown up at the shelter while waiting for a home of her own.

Emily is a very playful girl who is often more interested in playing and having fun than in cuddling. Her favorite part of the day is when she gets to leave her kennel to romp and play in Meow Meadows with the other cats at the shelter.  She has a lot of energy and you can clearly see that she loves expending that energy by having fun!

Emily is also a very smart girl, and she has amused shelter staff and volunteers on many occasions with her ability to escape her kennel for a quick romp around the shelter.

Emily’s purr-fect home would be with a family who would love a playful, independent kitty that doesn’t require constant snuggling and attention.  Emily gets along very well with other cats, and she would enjoy a home with other feline friends to romp and play with. Most of all, Emily would just love a chance to get out of the shelter and finally experience life in a real home, with a family all her own.

Emily will go to her new home spayed, de-wormed, FIV/FeLV tested, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies.  She has waited her entire life for a home of her own … could that home be yours?
