Pet Of The Week – Kia
We’d like you to meet Kia! Kia is a very handsome boy who is ½ German Shepherd and ½ Australian Shepherd and, at almost 1 year old, still very much a pup.
Before coming to Green Hills Animal Shelter Kia had a home of his own where he was very loved. Sometimes as humans, however, we are faced with hard decisions, and when Kia’s family was faced with a schedule that didn’t allow them to be home as much as Kia needed, they made the difficult but loving decision to do what was best for him, and they reached out to GHAS to help him find a new home where he wouldn’t have to spend most of his time kenneled and alone.
Kia is a very friendly pup who is playful and loving. He shared his previous home with children and cats, and loves and does well with both. Kia is also quite energetic and very much a big baby who is still full of puppy spunk and curiosity. And did we mention that Kia loves attention? This sweet boy would happily spend every moment of his day being with his family, and he isn’t above giving you a gentle, high-pitch bark to remind you that he is there and would like your attention.
If Kia could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for an indoor home, (Kia is both house-trained and kennel trained), where he would receive lots of attention. He would like a securely fenced yard where he could run and play, and he would very much like to go on long, leashed walks where he could share his curiosity and joy for the outdoors with his family. Kia would love to be a part of a family who would include him in every part of their day, and he would also love for that family to include children and/or other pets.
Kia will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies. He is a happy, loyal pup who will make an amazing addition to his Forever Family; could that family be yours?
