Pet of the Week – Liberty
Liberty came to Green Hills Animal Shelter in May 2018 after being picked up by the Trenton Police Department as a stray.  Sadly, Liberty’s owner never came for him, and he has spent the last year and a half at the shelter.

Liberty is a very handsome Treeing Walker Coonhound. Shelter staff believe him to be approximately 5 years old, although he could be slightly older.
He is a very friendly, social boy who gets along with everyone, including other dogs.  As a matter of fact, his disposition is so friendly and reliable that he regularly assists shelter staff in behavior assessments of new dogs who come into the shelter.

Liberty is a typical Coonhound in that once he catches a scent, he is completely focused on it.  He prefers to be outdoors, but his forever home will need to have a secure fence or kennel to keep him from following his nose.  He would love a home where his humans would take him on long walks where he could put that amazing nose to work exploring all the scents.

Liberty has been neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and is up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies.
