Pet Of The Week – Lolly

We’d like to introduce you to Lolly! Lolly is a medium-size Dachshund mix who, like so many of the pets at Green Hills Animal Shelter, once had a home of her own where she was treasured and loved. But then came the day that life changed; Lolly’s older owner had to move in with family and Lolly just didn’t do well with the large-sized dogs who were already in the home, so, although her owner was heartbroken,  Lolly was relinquished to the shelter.

At about 7- 8 years old, Lolly is a young senior, but don’t let that little bit of grey around her muzzle fool you; Lolly is still full of life and love! Lolly is a sweet girl who loves people and especially loves children. She is fully house-trained, and shelter staff take her out often throughout the day to make sure she doesn’t forget her training. Lolly is good with cats and, although the large dogs she met when her owner moved were not her favorites, she doesn’t seem to be bothered by the other dogs at the shelter.

If Lolly could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would simply ask for a home where she could spend lots of time with her family and where she would be very loved. She would prefer to be an indoor-only dog with access to a securely fenced yard where she could go out and smell the flowers now and then. Lolly would enjoy a home with children, but she would also be perfectly happy in an adult-only home.

Lolly will go to her Forever Homes spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies. She is an adorable girl who is full of love to give; could she share that love with you?
