Pet Of The Week – Maple

We’d like to introduce you to an amazing girl named Maple! Maple is a unique mix of German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, and Bernese Mountain Dog, and she is oh, so special!

Maple was born on December 2, 2020, and when she arrived at Green Hills Animal Shelter almost a year later, she was VERY pregnant. On December 2, 2021  (her 1st birthday!) Maple gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies. She was an amazing mom, and now that her puppies are weaned and ready to be adopted, Maple is looking for a very special Forever Home to call her own.

Maple is super sweet and loves to be petted. She is friendly and affectionate, and she genuinely enjoys being with people. Despite having had pups, Maple is still basically a big pup herself, and she is playful and funny.

If Maple could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would ask for an indoor home where she could finally spend time being the center of her family’s universe. She would enjoy a securely fenced yard where she could go outside to play, and an extra-large fuzzy bed to curl up on when she comes back inside. Because Maple has been busy with her pups at the shelter, we are not sure how she would feel about having a canine sibling, but she would definitely be open to meeting a potential dog brother or sister at the shelter to see if they would be best buds.  And, although she is just a big love, Maple would respectfully ask that she not have any kitty siblings in her Forever Home.

Maple will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. She is so full of love to give; could you make her dream of having a Forever Home come true?

For more information on Maple, or any of the pets waiting for their homes at Green Hills Animal Shelter, please phone the shelter at 660-359-2700 or stop by during open business hours.  Maple, her pups, and all the pets at the shelter will be waiting to meet you!
