Pet Of The Week – Maxwell

Please meet Maxwell, a 5-year-old Goldendoodle who is looking for a very special family to call his own. As his name implies, Maxwell is a mix of Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle, and while his breed is also sometimes called “Golden Poos”, “Groodles” or “Doodles”,  “Goldendoodle” is the most commonly used name.

Golden Doodles are known for having the intelligence of the Poodle mixed with the loyalty and ease of training of the Golden Retriever, and Maxwell fits this description perfectly.  He is a very calm boy who is quiet and gentle.  He rides well in the car and loves getting to go outside on walks and visits to the shelter play yard.  Maxwell is sometimes a little nervous around new people at first, but once he gets to know you he warms right up and loves being with those he loves.  Maxwell is both dog and kid-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to a family!

If Maxwell could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for an indoor home with a family who would shower him with love. He would very much enjoy being a part of his Forever Family’s daily activities and getting to accompany them on long walks, car rides to the park, and perhaps a trip through the drive-through for a summer ice cream pup-cup.  Maxwell would be quite happy to share his home with children and he would also be content to have a canine sibling.

Maxwell is up to date on all his veterinary needs, including being neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and current on all vaccinations including rabies. He’s a very special boy who is longing to be back in a home all his own; could you make his wish come true?
