Pet Of The Week – Melody
If you are looking for a feline friend with a “purr-sonality” that is sure to steal your heart and keep you smiling, look no further than Melody! Melody is a beautiful Tortoiseshell Calico whose entire personality revolves around being petted and loved.
Melody was relinquished to Green Hills Animal Shelter by her caretakers who were moving and wanted to make sure that the stray kitty that had stolen their hearts was taken care of and given the opportunity to find a Forever Family of her own.
Tortoiseshell Calicos, or Torties as they are affectionately called, are known for being playful, affectionate cats who love attention and get very attached to their people. Melody fits this description perfectly as she is a super friendly, affectionate Tortie who never meets a stranger; everyone is her friend! Melody loves people and uses her heart-stealing, sing-song voice to beg for attention and petting, which is what earned her the name “Melody”. In addition to loving to be petted, Melody also loves to play and is always ready for a game of chasing the laser or a happy romp with a catnip mouse. Sweet Melody is also a very tidy kitty and is already litterbox trained.
If Melody could describe her perfect Forever Home, she would ask us for an indoor-only home with a person or family who would give her lots of love. She would love to have toys to play with and a cozy bed to snuggle in. She would be perfectly happy in a home with children and be content to share her Forever Home with another feline she could play and snuggle with. In short, Melody just wants to be safe, indoors, and loved.
Melody will go to her Forever Home spayed, dewormed FIV/FeLV tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. All she needs is to have a real family of her own and fill their lives with love; could that family be yours?
