Pet Of The Week – Oreo
If you are looking for a bundle of happiness who will bond with you as a pup and be your best friend for life, look no further than Oreo! Oreo is a wonderful mix of puppy breath, tail wags, and body wiggles who is absolutely sure to steal your heart!
Oreo’s mom, Susie, was found wandering alone in August, very pregnant and very much in need of care. She was brought to Green Hills Animal Shelter, and Oreo and her NINE siblings (Speckles, Domino, Olive, Lavender, Dottie, Patches, Minnie, Tina, and Spot) were born at a foster home on August 17, 2023. They thrived with Susie’s tender care, and now Oreo, her mom, and her happy wiggle-butt siblings have arrived at the shelter where they are waiting to meet their Forever Families. We believe Oreo and her siblings to be Terrier mixes, but their Foster has submitted a DNA test, so we and their Forever Families will soon know exactly what wonderful genes have created such cuteness.
Oreo is a happy pup who is friendly and affectionate. She is super sweet and loves attention. Like all puppies, Oreo is very playful, but she also has a laid-back side that enjoys cuddles and pets. Oreo’s personality would make her a good fit in a home with children, other dogs, or perhaps even a laid-back cat friend.
Oreo is still a baby and has never had a home of her own, but if she could describe what she thinks it might be like she would no doubt tell us that she would like to have a home where she could be an indoor dog and have a family who would shower her with love and involve her in all their activities. She would love to have toys and a soft bed of her own, learn to take long-leashed walks and spend her entire life being loved. Olive would very much enjoy having a child in her new home that she could grow up with, and she would also love sharing her home with a canine companion; perhaps even one of her siblings.
Oreo will go to her Forever Home spayed, dewormed, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. She will also come with her very own bag of Science Diet puppy food to get her started.
