Pet Of The Week – Ricky

We’d like to introduce you to Ricky! Little Ricky, who was born on October 27, 2017, is a purebred, AKC-Registered Beagle who is an amazing family dog as well as an enthusiastic outdoor companion. Before coming to Green Hills Animal Shelter, Ricky had a home where he was very loved, but when Ricky’s senior owner became unable to meet his energy needs, they brought him to the shelter in hopes that he could find a family who would give him the exercise and that he needs while filling his life with love.

If we had to describe Ricky in one word, that word would be “happy”. He is a wiggly, friendly, affectionate pup who loves being with people; Ricky is guaranteed to make your heart smile! He loves both adults and children and is always excited to go on a car ride with his family – in fact, car rides are one of his very favorite activities! Ricky gets along well with other dogs. In addition to being a fantastic family companion, Ricky is also a trained rabbit-hunting dog who loves going out into the field and exploring the woods with his person.

If Ricky could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask to be adopted by an active family who would spend lots of time engaging in play and outdoor activities with him, after which he would love to curl up on the couch with his person and dream about the great adventures they’ve had. He has always been an indoor dog with access to the outdoors and that is what makes him happiest. Ricky very much desires a family who will make him a part of everything they do, and in return, he promises to fill their lives with the wonder and joy with which he approaches life.

Ricky will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies.  He is a special pup who will make an amazing companion for one lucky family; could that family be yours?
