Pet Of The Week – Trapper

We’d like to introduce you to Trapper!  Trapper is a darling tri-color hound mix puppy who is just 3 – 4 months old. Trapper was found wandering alone with his sister, Shiloh, and another 2-3 month older hound, Hunter. All three were brought to Green Hills Animal Shelter so that they could be safe and cared for, and hopefully, be reunited with their owner. Sadly, no one came to claim Trapper, Shiloh, and Hunter, so now they are looking for Forever Homes where they will be loved and treasured family members.

Trapper is a sweet pup with a gentle nature that gets along with everyone, human and dog alike. Having been on his own at such a young age, he can be shy when he first meets you, but he opens up relatively quickly, and his trust and confidence are growing every single day. Trapper adores other dogs and, like all puppies, Trapper loves to play. His favorite activity at the shelter is romping in the play yard with his sister Shiloh and his friend Hunter.

If Trapper could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask us for a home with a family who would spend a lot of time with him and help him to feel secure and loved so that he can continue to gain his confidence. He would love to have a securely fenced yard so that his hound-dog nose doesn’t carry him off on any unsupervised adventures, and of course, he would love to be able to curl up at his family’s feet after a happy day of play, knowing that he is loved and safe. Trapper would very much enjoy a home with another dog to play with and also enjoy being a special friend to a child who would like a buddy to grow up with.

Trapper will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies.  He is the sweetest boy who just wants to feel loved and secure; could you make his dream of a Forever Home come true?
