Pet Of The Week – Zippo

Please meet Zippo! Zippo is a handsome red-nosed Pittie and yellow Lab mix who is only about 2 years old and who is looking to adopt a human of his very own!

Zippo is a true sweetheart who has charmed shelter staff and volunteers with his love of people and with his happy-go-lucky, puppy-like personality. He is very playful, and is always up for a good game of Tug-of-War, which is his very favorite game! Zippo also loves belly rubs and we have no doubt that if he could interview his prospective humans, giving good belly rubs would be a requirement.

If Zippo could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would ask for a home where he would have a best friend and pal who would give him lots of attention and spend lots of time with him. He would love to have a securely fenced backyard where he could engage in enthusiastic games of Tug-of-War and then come back inside to curl up and snore contentedly on a soft bed all his own. Zippo loves children, but because of his size and strength coupled with his love of playing, he would kindly request that any children in the home be older so that he doesn’t accidentally bowl them over with love. Zippo also gets along with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine playmate who would share his love of playing.

Zippo will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He’s crossing his paws and saying his prayers that his special person will come along soon; could that person be you?
