ST. JOE MAN INDICTED FOR BEING A FELON WITH A GUN

 

A ST. JOSEPH MAN WHO WAS ARRESTED IN MID-SEPTEMBER AFTER AN 11-HOUR STANDOFF WITH POLICE WAS FORMALLY INDICTED ON FEDERAL CHARGES OF BEING A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM ON THURSDAY.

ACCORDING TO THE U.S. ATTORNEY FOR THE WESTERN DISTRICT OF MISSOURI, 40-YEAR-OLD TERRANCE T. BROWN WAS CHARGED WITH BEING A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM IN AN INDICTMENT RETURNED BY A FEDERAL GRAND JURY THAT REPLACES THE FEDERAL CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WAS FILED AGAINST BROWN LAST MONTH.

THE INDICTMENT ALLEGES THAT BROWN, HAVING BEEN CONVICTED OF A PRIOR FELONY, WAS IN POSSESSION OF A RUGER 9MM PISTOL ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2017, AFTER AN 11-HOUR STANDOFF AT HIS RESIDENCE.

POLICE SAY AFTER TAKING BROWN INTO CUSTODY A SEARCH OF THE AREA HE WAS HIDING IN REVEALED A LOADED RUGER 9MM PISTOL WITH AN EXTENDED MAGAZINE AND AN EMPTY BOX OF SMITH & WESSON .40-CALIBER AMMUNITION.
