TWO NEBRASKA RESIDENTS INJURED IN MONDAY EVENING ACCIDENT IN HOLT COUNTY

TWO OMAHA, NEBRASKA RESIDENTS WERE INJURED IN A MONDAY EVENING ACCIDENT IN HOLT COUNTY.

THE MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON I-29, 13 MILES SOUTH OF MOUND CITY, WHEN A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY 69-YEAR-OLD LEO A. NAUJOKAITIS WAS HEADING NORTH.

TROOPERS SAY NAUJOKAITIS WENT OFF THE WEST SIDE OF THE NORTHBOUND LANES, OVERCORRECTED, WENT OFF THE EAST SIDE OF THE OF THE ROAD, AND STRUCK THE GUARDRAIL.

NAUJOKAITIS AND A PASSENGER, 70-YEAR-OLD MARY C. NAUJOKAITIS, WERE BOTH TAKEN TO MOSAIC LIFE CARE FOR TREATMENT OF MODERATE AND MINOR INJURIES.

TROOPERS SAY BOTH WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT.
