Eggleston Details Only Veto Override From Veto Session

The Missouri Legislature did override a veto made by Governor Parson in the veto session that has completed for the state. Previously, the Missouri Department of Revenue had been instructed to collect taxes on services that had not been previously considered taxable. State Representative J Eggleston.

 

 

So, a line-item was approved in the budget to allow that money to be paid back. Eggleston says the line-item was veto from Governor Parson stemmed from the financial uncertainty stemming due to COVID-19.

 

 

The line-item amount was $150,000.
