Investigation Begins For Large Bethany Fire

5 fire departments responded to the large fire Wednesday evening at Waste Management Systems of Bethany.

The Bethany Fire Department was called to the fire at 5:50pm. The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived. The fire produced thick black smoke from the site. The Bethany, New Hampton, Pattonsburg, Ridgeway, and Eagleville fire departments responded to the fire. NTA Ambulance, the North Harrison Fire Auxillary, and the Bethany Fire Auxillary were also called for support.

The State Fire Marshall has been called to investigate the origin and the cause of the fire.

The Bethany Fire Department was on site nearly 6 hours.
