Many Missouri legislators a prepping for a big election season.

They might have to explain to some of their constituents why they passed a 49-billion-dollar state budget proposal with a large chunk of federal dollars – or so-called “Biden Bucks”.

State House Speaker Rob Vescovo, a Republican from eastern Missouri’s Arnold, says many of the items are ones his constituents expect lawmakers to spend money on.

He also says a tax credit bill passed would give back money to some Missourians. The exact amount of the credit is unknown but could be in the neighborhood of a couple hundred dollars per person.
