A Kirksville Man was Seriously Injured in Mercer County

A man from Kirksville was seriously injured in an accident in Mercer County.
A report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says at 5:32 pm, 55-year-old John C. Moots was headed south on US-65 Highway, 2 miles south of Mercer.
The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road and struck a large hold in the ground causing the vehicle to overturn, coming to rest on the passenger side.
Moots was assisted by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and taken by Mercer County EMS to Wright Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. He was then transported by Grundy County EMS to St. Lukes on the plaza.
