Albany Council Approves Solid Waste Service Charge Adjustment

Albany’s Board of Aldermen approved increases to the service charges for solid waste collection and disposal during their reorganizational meeting Tuesday.

The new solid waste collection service charge will be $18 per dwelling unit. Some dwellings meeting certain guidelines will be charged $16.50 per dwelling unit.

The council approved a real estate sale to Pharm Dog USA and Jackie Allenbrand.

The oath to office was administered to Bobby Smith in the South Ward and Michael Emery in Albany’s North Ward.
