Area Substitute Teacher Receives Missouri’s Top Honor

(ST. JOSEPH, MO) – An area substitute teacher was named by Edustaff, LLC, who is the firm that employs thousands of substitutes nationwide.
Mary Jean Clapp, has substituted since 2015 and is very active within the St Joseph School District.
Which is where she was recognized as the state’s top Substitute Teacher of the year.
Clapp assists in the civic immersion program put on through empowers.
The district had zero input on the award, Edustaff does a review internally of the nearly 5,000 substitutes they employ nationwide, then awards the honor to the top-ranked substitute in each state.
