Barnard Man Charged in Nodaway County

MARYVILLE, MO – Nodaway County authorities have charged a Barnard man over an incident alleged to have taken place on Friday.

The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the residence of sixty-six-year old Scott Alkire, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim on Friday of last week.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers says they found items related to the alleged assault, drug paraphernalia and a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Alkire is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, sexual abuse in the second degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is incarcerated in the Nodaway County Jail.
