Boy Injured in Buchanan County Accident on Monday Has Died

BUCHANAN COUNTY, MO – A 9-year-old Savannah boy injured in a UTV accident Monday has died.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that boy was pronounced dead Wednesday morning at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The accident took place early Monday evening on a private road in the Honey Creek Conservation Area in Buchanan County. The investigating officer reported the 9-year-old boy was operating a Polaris Ranger when it started to skid and traveled off the roadway where it overturned, ejecting the boy. The child was transferred to Children’s Mercy following the accident.
The report does not indicate if other passengers were in the UTV when the accident occurred.
