BTC Pledges Support For Launch Of 4-H Youth Financial Simulator

BTC Bank has pledged 5 years of support to the 4-H Foundation that is intended to bring interactive, hands-on financial education to youths ages 13 to 18. The BTC pledge to the Missouri 4-H Foundation will allow the launch of a household finance simulator for youths known as On My Own.

The simulator has been designed by the University of Tennessee Extension and will be delivered by Missouri 4-H faculty and staff and classroom teachers.

Under the simulation, students will have responsibility as the major income provider for their households and will work through a month of expenses which may include housing, utilities, transportation, insurance, food, child care, clothing, entertainment, and expenses which may come from unexpected events.

On My Own will be available to 4-H members in the 2022-23 program year, which starts on October 1st. For information about On My Own and other online and in-person 4-H programming, visit 4h.missouri.edu.
