NEWS RELEASE APRIL 2022

On 04/01/2022, at approximately 1723 hours, Deputies responded to the 100 Block of Benton
Street in Kingston to a possible drug overdose. The victim was contacted and it was found they
had ingested a large amount of pills, EMS arrived and transported the victim to the Cameron
Hospital for treatment.

On 04/02/2022, at approximately 1308 hours, Deputies received a report of stealing at a
residence in the 6000 Block of Frog Pond Road near Cowgill, MO. An item listed as stolen was a
2050 Mustang Skid Steer, yellow in color. Anyone with information regarding the stolen Skid
Steer can contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department.
On 04/02/2022, at approximately 2127 hours, Deputies responded to the 3000 Block of State
Route HH near Kingston to a reported Domestic Disturbance. The situation was resolved without
an arrest.

On 04/03/2022, at approximately 2140 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle On Main Street in Polo, MO. As a result of the traffic stop, the passenger in the vehicle
was arrested on a State of Missouri parole warrant in addition to possession of Popcorn laced
with THC oil. He was taken into custody, and transported to the Caldwell County Detention
Center.

On 4/04/2022, at approximately 0814 hours, Deputies received a report of stealing in the 10000
block of SW Highway 116 in Lathrop. It was reported a Dappler Boer Goat approximately 3
weeks old was stolen from their property.

On 04/04/2022, at approximately 1719 hours, Deputies arrested a male according to a warrant
issued by Judge Elliott for a Probation Violation, bond on the warrant was $100,000 cash only.
The male was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 04/07/2022, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department conducted an undercover drug
purchase from an individual in the City of Polo, MO. As a result of the investigation, a male was
taken into custody for Distribution of a controlled substance, and was placed in the Caldwell
County Detention Center.

On 04/09/2022, at approximately 1300 hours, Deputies responded to the 2300 Block of Mill
Creek to a report of a stolen calf from the property.

On 04/09/2022, at approximately 1937 hours, Deputies received a report of a possible scam in
the 8200 Block of State Route J near Kidder. The incident was resolved by the money being
returned to the victim.

On 04/10/2022, at approximately 2015 hours, Deputies responded to the Caldwell County
Sheriff’s Department in reference to a scam. Deputies determined the victim did speak with a
female and male subject advising her Amazon account had been infiltrated by unknown
individuals in foreign countries. This male and female subject scammed the victim into
providing them with gift card numbers from Walmart in excess of $3,000.00.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department wishes to warn citizens to be cautious regarding
phone scams. If you receive a call from someone requesting money be paid to them in a
unordinary manner, do not act until you verify it is legitimate.

On 04/11/2022, at approximately 2047 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 13
south bound near Price Road Polo, Caldwell County, MO 64671 in reference to a lane violation.
Upon further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of
methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle was transported to
the Caldwell County Detention Center and held on a 24 hour hold pending charges.

On 4/13/2022, at approximately 0634 hours, Deputies responded to the area of Highway 13 and
Dodgers Road to a report of someone shooting at wildlife from the roadway. As a result of the
investigation, a male was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon.

On 4/14/2022, at approximately 1241 hours, Deputies received a report from the Breckenridge
School of two male students who left the school without permission. Deputies responded and
located the two juvenile males. They were returned to their guardians and a report will be
forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile office for further discipline.

On 4/14/2022, at approximately 1424 hours, Deputies responded to a location on Quarry Road
south of Kingston, to an abandoned vehicle blocking the road. The vehicle was collected and
towed from the scene.

On 04/15/2022, at approximately 0237 hours, Deputies responded to a vehicle traveling
Westbound on Highway 36 at a high rate of speed. Deputies conducted a stop of the vehicle near
Grandview and Highway 36, as a result of the stop, an occupant of the vehicle was arrested
according to a State of Wisconsin Parole warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to
the Caldwell County Detention Center awaiting extradition.

On 04/15/2022, at approximately 2255 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the
intersection of West First Street and State Route A, Braymer, Caldwell County, MO 64638 in
reference to a lane violation. After a thorough investigation, the driver was found to be in an
intoxicated condition. The driver was later arrested and transported to the Caldwell County
Missouri Detention Center on a 24 hour hold.

On 04/16/2022, at approximately 1950 hours, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a
traffic stop on Highway 116 west bound near Frances Street Polo, Caldwell County, Mo 64671
in reference to a registration violation. Upon further investigation, the driver of the vehicle and
passenger were found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia without having a
medical status to possess marijuana. The driver and passenger were transported to the Caldwell
County Detention Center and placed on a 24 hour investigative hold pending charges.

On 04/16/2022, at approximately 2028 hours, Deputies responded to the 100 Block of E.
Meadowbrook Court in Polo, MO to a disturbance in progress.
Upon Deputies arrival and further investigation, a female was arrested and taken into custody for
Burglary, Stealing and Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer.

On 04/17/2022, at approximately 2358 hours, Caldwell County Missouri Sheriff’s Deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Highway 116 and State Route T Polo, Caldwell County, MO 64671
in reference to a stop sign violation. As a result of the stop, the driver was arrested for operating
a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, possession of a controlled substance and possession
of drug paraphernalia. They were placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center pending filing
of formal charges.

On 04/20/2022, at approximately 1027 hours, Deputies arrested a female at the Caldwell County
Sheriff’s Department, who surrendered herself according to a warrant for her arrest for failure to
register a motor vehicle. The allowed bond amount was $200.00 cash only. She was transported
to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 04/20/2022, at approximately 2114 hours, Deputies responded to the 8000 Block of Falcon
Drive in Polo, MO to a reported domestic disturbance. Following an investigation into the
situation, charges were sought towards a person who had left the scene.

On 04/21/2022, at approximate 1716 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a
vehicle on Highway 13 near State route V south of Polo, MO. As a result of the stop, the driver
and passenger were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
They were both incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center pending filing of formal
charges.

On 04/21/2022, at approximately 2146 hours, Deputies responded to the 600 Block of Stone
Street in Polo, MO, to a report of the theft of a dog. This incident is under investigation and a
suspect is being sought for questioning.

On 04/22/2022, at approximately 0014 hours, Caldwell County Missouri Sheriff’s Deputies
conducted a traffic stop at SE Evans Rd. and Highway 116, Braymer, Caldwell County, in
reference to a lane violation. After an investigation, the driver was found to be over the legal
blood/alcohol limit, and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was transported
to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24 hour hold pending charges.

On 4/22/2022, at approximately 1400 hours, Deputies received a report of a violation of an Order
of Protection. The incident was investigated and a report has been forwarded to the Caldwell
County Prosecuting Attorney for consideration of formal charges.

On 04/23/2022, at approximately 1300 hours, Deputies responded to the 5000 Block of Price
Drive in Lawson, to a report of stealing of hand tools from a building sight. This incident is
under investigation.

On 04/25/2022, at approximately 2303 hours, Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a
vehicle on Highway 13 south of Polo near State Route V. The vehicle failed to stop for law
enforcement and fled the area. The driver was identified through further investigation and was
identified. Charges were requested through the Caldwell County Prosecuting Attorney and a warrant for their arrested has been issued. The suspect is currently being sought for their arrest.

On 04/26/2022, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation regarding a
registered sex offender not residing in his reported residence. The suspect was located living in
another location then reported and was taken into custody. He was placed into the Caldwell
County Detention Center.

On 04/26/2022, at approximately 1304 hours, Deputies contacted a male inside of the courthouse
in Kingston who had a warrant for their arrest through Caldwell County Missouri for Possession
of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana Class D Felony with a $25,000.00
cash only, Stealing- $750.00 or more Class D Felony and Property damage 1st Degree Class E
Felony with a $25,000.00 Cash Only. The total bond amount of 50,000.00 cash only. They were
taken into custody without incident and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 04/27/2022, at approximately 0257 hours, Deputies observed a gray 2002 Chevy 2500
traveling westbound Highway 116 with an object dragging from under the truck, causing sparks.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop at Highway 116 Westbound near Holstein Road Polo
Caldwell County, Mo 64671. As a result of the stop, the driver was arrested for operating the
vehicle with a suspended license.
