CoMo Man Arrested In St. Joe Indicted By Federal Prosecutors

A Columbia, Missouri man that was arrested on drug and firearms charges in St. Joseph was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury.

The federal grand jury in Kansas City charged 42-year-old Columbia resident Walter Antwine Moore in a four count indictment with one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime, one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

Moore had originally been arrested in St. Joseph at a convenience store when he was accused of stealing a bag of chips and selling drugs. Authorities found him in his vehicle numerous clear plastic baggies with a total of 284.8 grams of methamphetamine. Officers also found a loaded Glock .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Moore was arrested again at a train station in Kansas City last month when he was found with 2,300 fentanyl pills.

Moore has two prior felony convictions for robbery, two prior felony convictions for forgery, and prior felony convictions for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
