Developer of State Gas Tax Refund App Works with Department of Revenue to Reduce Paperwork

(MISSOURINET) –  On July 1st, the state’s gas tax went up another two and half cents – making it five cents since the Legislature passed the law. The law includes a refund for those additional taxes for non-freight drivers —- but taxpayers must keep receipts and fill out forms.

A St. Charles businesswoman Tammi Hilton developed the NO MO GAS TAX app to help Missourians get some of that money back:

Hilton says she is working to get the rules to actually work for taxpayers.

Hilton says she is still working with the Department of Revenue to improve the process for taxpayers.

The NO MO Gas Tax app is for iPhones right now and being developed for Android. It’s $4.99.
