Excelsior Springs Man Suffers Medical Emergency in Monday Crash

An Excelsior Springs man suffered serious injuries in a Ray County crash Monday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on west 120th when a vehicle driven by 92-year-old Clerence Clevenger was heading southbound.
Troopers say Clevenger suffered a medical emergency, went off the side of the road, struck a tree and a fence, and came to a rest.
Clevenger was Life-Flighted to Saint Luke’s in Kansas City for treatment.
Authorities say it is unknown if Clevenger was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
