Excelsior Springs Police Investigating Shooting

Excelsior Springs Police are investigating a shooting that took place early this morning (Wednesday).

Authorities say they were called to a residence in the 100 block of south Titus Street just before 6 A.M. today on reports of a shooting.

Officers tell Regional Radio once on scene one male victim was found suffering a gunshot wound. That individual is being treated at an area hospital but authorities would not comment on the extent of his wounds.

Authorities say they were able to take a suspect into custody and are holding that individual as their investigation continues.
